McDonald’s is celebrating the 50th birthday of the Big Mac! To honor the the two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun, the fast-food chain began passing out MacCoins at stores yesterday. According to LifeHacker, the MacCoin is a currency of sorts that can be used to purchase Big Macs. Customers get a coin by purchasing a Big Mac using real money, they can then turn around and get a Big Mac for free with their MacCoin.
