Stunning aerial footage of Karymsky Volcano, Kamchatka, in Russia's Far East. A Volcanic Ash Advisory has been issued for the region.

Twenty-seven-year-old Aleksandr Ostrowski, is a local tour guide. "I filmed this eruption during a helicopter ride on the way to the Valley of Geysers," he said. "This eruption could be described as a vulcanian eruption," he added.

Vulcanian eruptions occur when magma forms beneath the surface of a volcano, which is then hurled into the air by more magma accumulating below.

Karymsky Volcano is one of the most active volcanoes in Kamchatka, where there are over 100 active volcanoes.
