Survivors taken to hospital days after Laos dam collapse

Dramatic footage showing survivors being rushed to hospital six days after a dam in Laos collapsed causing deadly flash flooding.

Villages in Attapeu province were deluged with billions of litres of water when an auxiliary dam along the The Xe-Pian Xe-Namnoy hydropower project burst on July 23.

Six days later and rescue workers from neighbouring Thailand are still battling to find survivors and hand out emergency supplies to those left destitute.

Footage shows a young boy and other survivors being taken to hospital. Aid workers are also seen handing out food, water and medicine to those affected.
