Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan on Thursday announced that he was ready to investigate allegations of election rigging leveled by rival parties. Addressing the nation through media he thinks the election was fairest in the country's history.
"This election has been historic; people have sacrificed so much. I especially want to thank the people of Balochistan who despite terrorism came out in huge numbers to vote," he said.
"I want to thank Allah for this opportunity to serve the nation. Through its ups and downs; I am grateful for being given this chance."
Khan said nobody faced character assassination like he did.
Khan said he was a Pakistani who knows the most about India because he visited the country a lot during his cricket days.
He said Pakistan and India need to sit on the negotiating table to resolve the Kashmir issue. I want to improve relations with India. We should address our issues through dialogue.
He pledged to the nation that his government would improve governance system and asked his supporters to pray for him so that he could deliver on his promises.
