Aerial Footage Shows Wildfires Across Greek Peninsula Of Attica

The Greek government said on July 24 that around $23 million (€20 million) would be donated to areas affected by a series of wildfires which ravaged the country, claiming the lives of at least 49 people and injuring dozens.This drone footage shows the wildfire spread out across parts of Rafina and Kineta in the Greek peninsula of Attica.Multiple people were hospitalized for smoke inhalation or fire-related injuries, including 16 children, fire officials said.Most of those who lost their lives in the blaze were in the seaside resort of Mati.European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker wrote to Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras to offer crisis management support services.
