Hello, I'm Michelle Park here with the latest weather update. Today Seoul was about a degree higher than yesterday while some parts of Gyeongsangbuk-do Province felt like it was over 40 degrees Celsius. Even healthy adults are having a hard time in this ongoing heatwave. More people are suffering from heatstrokes and dehydration so refrain from doing any outdoor activities.
Tomorrow will also be baking hot. A few sporadic showers are expected in northern Gyeonggi-do and northwestern Gangwon-do provinces, but not enough to budge the mercury,... whereas rain will cool Pyongyang and Tokyo.
Not much heat escapes the peninsula during the night and so by the morning, most places including Seoul will be 26 degrees Celsius or higher.
During the peak of the day, it will get cloudier for Seoul with a temperature of 35 degrees, Gwangju and Daegu will be 36 and 38 degrees respectively.
Seoul will be sunny all week with high humidity. So try to stay cool.
