How to Shutdown or Restart Ubuntu 18.04 LTS?

Via System menu:

Step 1: Go to top Right hand Corner of screen and click on Downward Arrow, and then click on 'Power Off' button.

Step 2: Now, you will see a Dialog, and from there, you can Restart and Power-Off your Ubuntu.


Via Terminal:

Step 1: Right click on Desktop and Click on 'Open terminal'.


To shutdown:

shutdown -h now

sudo poweroff


To Restart:

shutdown -r now

sudo reboot
