The latest jobs report is out,....
The figures, released this morning by Statistics Korea, show the number of newly-added jobs remained in the 100-thousand range for the fifth straight month in June.
This leaves the employment rate unchanged compared to the same period last year... at 67 percent.
The employment situation in South Korea is the worst it has been since the 2008 global financial crisis when the jobs growth figure was stuck below the one-hundred-thousand level for a year-and-a-half.
However, some positive news on the jobless rate... as it edged down thanks to a rise in employment in the healthcare and public service sectors.
The overall unemployment rate shed one-tenth of a percent to three-point-seven percent.
Better news for the nation's young people as the youth jobless rate tumbled nearly one-and-a-half percent on-year to nine percent.
