Istanbul, the tale of two cities Asia and Europe has a vibrant beauty to swallow. This is a city of contrasts that act as the bridge between Asia and Europe. Its geographical position is mesmerizing with Black sea at the north side, Marmara to the South and Bosphorus connecting this two.
Istanbul has water water and water everywhere. Ferries are the excellent way to get around the city. This city has large population which makes it frustrating to roam by road due to huge traffic. So, ferries are the best way while it also offers a relaxing feeling. From Europe to Asia it is just a 10 minutes ferry ride while the lucky travellers can witness some dolphin also on their way.
This city sits between Europe and Asia, so most of the tourists have an idea that the Turkish people have mixed culture. But their culture is completely different. It is neither European nor Asian culture but is a completely different Turkish culture.
The weather in Turkey, Istanbul is amazing. The weather is enjoyable all through the year. Whether it is spring, winter or autumn, one can live outside comfortably.
Another enjoyable stuff in Istanbul is the food of this city. However, Istanbul does not necessarily mean the favourite food has to be Kebab always. But they also have locally grown fresh vegetables, fruits and meat, cheese, bread etc.
The cost of living in Istanbul is least expensive. The expense of living is lower than many other cities. So, one can live a healthy and happy life with an average range of income. When compared to the big places like Rome, Paris, or London, the cost of living in Istanbul is far cheaper than the above cities.
Women were treated differently earlier in this city. They were meant to stay inside the house. But things have changed a lot recently and Women are treated with more respect. The woman of the city has started working and they are now holding big position in the workplaces.
Istanbul is better called as the city of sound. People here love music greatly. So, all kind of music starting from classical, hip-hop, jazz, dub step etc. are cultured here. People here love to attend party. So, the club and other places run till the wee hours and one can listen there music of all types.
This city has countless jobs to offer to the youth. So, very less people are jobless. While some are engaged in office job other people are into business that includes plumber, electrician, plasterer, tiler etc.
