2013 was a roller coaster of a year for the Celtics to say the least. With the departure of Doc Rivers, Kevin Garnett, and Paul Pierce, it marked the official end of the Big 3, and began a new era under Brad Stevens. Rajon Rondo's ACL tear and a first round playoff exit against the Knicks made the year a disappointing one, but there were many notable bright spots, including Jeff Green's 43 point performance against Miami and the long awaited unveiling of a Bill Russell statue.
