Beached Marlin Dies in Port Aransas Surf, Despite Rescue Efforts

Beachgoers in Port Aransas, Texas, were surprised to find a marlin thrashing around in the surf on June 10, and rushed to help the fish get back to deep water.Despite the rescue attempts, the fish did not survive, KIII-TV said.Breana Nafziger posted this footage of the beached fish struggling in the water.KIII-TV said the animal’s remains would be examined by researchers at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
