Lightning Flashes Over Colorado Springs During Severe Storms

Lightning flashed across the sky around Colorado Springs, Colorado, in the early hours of Wednesday, June 13. Severe thunderstorms dropped large hail in the area, damaging cars and buildings.It was the strongest overnight hail storm in El Paso County in 20 years, a news report said. Fountain was hardest hit with hail that measured three inches, the report said. There were reports of damaged cars including cracked and broken windshields.
