'A Quiet Place' Tops $300 Million Worldwide The John Krasinski-directed film debuted to massive approval at South by Southwest in March before opening across the country on April 6. Paramount, the studio behind the hit, said that the movie would pass $300 million on Tuesday thanks to a $176.5 million domestic gross and a $122.4 million haul from the international
box office. Krasinski and his wife, Emily Blunt, starred in the film, which grossed $50 million in its first weekend, blowing past its predicted $30 million opening. Jim Gianopulos, the chairman and CEO of Paramount Pictures, revealed last month that a sequel was already being planned.
