Paramount, the studio behind the hit, said that the movie would pass $300 million on Tuesday thanks to a $176.5 million domestic gross and a $122.4 million haul from the international box office. Krasinski and his wife, Emily Blunt, starred in the film, which grossed $50 million in its first weekend, blowing past its predicted $30 million opening. Jim Gianopulos, the chairman and CEO of Paramount Pictures, revealed last month that a sequel was already being planned.
