A UNICEF team has responded to an Ebola outbreak that was reported in Bikoro, Democratic Republic of Congo, on May 8.The team traveled from the Mbandaka, more than 100 kilometers north of Bikoro, to assess the situation.The UN said that this was the ninth Ebola outbreak since the virus was discovered in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in 1976. Four people were killed by a 2017 outbreak in Bas-Uélé province.The World Health Organization on May 13 said 18 deaths had been reported in connection with the latest outbreak, though the virus had not been confirmed in all cases.This footage is described as showing supplies being delivered to Bikoro on May 12.
