MMD FACTION PRESIDENT DATES NDOLA OFFICIALS
Faction MMD President Dr Nevers Sekwila Mumba was on the Copper belt over the last weekend to meet Provincial, District and Constituency leaders who met in Ndola's Bwana Mkubwa Constituency.
On arrival, the officials burst into songs of praise and thanks to God after seeing President Mumba following his incarceration and the subsequent Supreme Court victory in the MMD case on the 10th of April 2018.
President Mumba took time to thank the officials for their resilience, patience and for standing with the Party during the last two years when the Party was under siege by the rebel group led by Felix Mutati.
He was happy to find all the officials in place and still standing strong in supporting their Party.
President Mumba briefed the leaders on the status of the Party following the out come of the long awaited Supreme Court judgement. The rebels lost the case and they were condemned with heavy costs.
He assured the officials that despite the confusion brought about by the rebel group through the illegal Convention, the Party leadership together with all the National Executive Committee members remain strong and eager to move the party to higher heights. He urged the officials to start mobilizing within their areas by speaking to all the members who might have gone astray to come back to the Party.
Further he informed the leaders that once the court order is obtained, the rebels will have to account for their actions and all the Party assets will have to be accounted for.
The members were delighted about the meeting and assured the President who was accompanied by senior members of the Party of their total support to the Party leadership and it's programs.
