I was really excited to try this soap stick, as I had heard good things about it. The first pass was excellent, largely due to the use of pre-shave oil; however, the second pass was awful. The soap performance was barely average, and the slickness was really disappointing. Apparently I should have used pre-shave oil before the second pass as well. This was probably the worst shave I experienced in 2017! I think rubbing the soap stick in a bowl to build lather, and adding some extra glycerin to the bowl, might be the best way to make this soap work. It feels good on the face, but it doesn't provide sufficient lubrication. Honestly, there are much better shave soaps available for a similar price point.
