According to Defense News, BAE Systems showed off its new 40mm cannon at Fort Benning in Georgia last week. This as the US Army looks to add more fire power to its Strykers, Bradleys, and perhaps other combat vehicles.
Rory Chamberlain, a business development manager at BAE Systems, told reporters after the cannon was fired, "Everything went perfectly." BAE Systems is one of the largest defense companies in the world.
