Drone footage from Colombo shows the remarkable process behind the country’s land reclamation efforts.
Video from March 11 shows a large vessel spraying sand onto nearby reclaimed land set against a backdrop of the capital city’s skyline.
The project is part of a larger plan to build an international financial hub in the South Asian island.
Once finished, the city will sit on 2.3 square kilometres (0.9 square miles) of reclaimed land.
