Airline to Issue Waistline Limit in Business Class

Thai Airways International has announced that there will be a 56-inch waistline limit for passengers sitting in business class on its Boeing 787-9 aircraft. The airline says the limit is due to seatbelt airbags that prevent the belts from extending. The seatbelts are also meant to prevent parents from flying on the plans with children on their laps. Last November, European airline Finnair also started a program where it encouraged passengers to weigh themselves and their luggage before boarding.
