North Dakota Peace Officer Association Police K9 Trials Stringer

  • hace 6 años
Today, a beautiful day, August 14th, new. Its the new North Dakota peace officer association K9 police trials. Its our first time ever hosting this event. Its a joint competition for dogs from different military bases and state agencies competing in three events for top dog. Behind me is the iron dog rescue course event. This consists of a lot of obstacles, its going to be different kinds of gunfire, its going to involve rescue of a downed officer, were going to drag him out of a combat zone, were going to need to carry our dog over an obstacle. At one point theres going to be a vet test to throw them off their game, where they have to stop for a second and think about some common knowledge K9 questions. Teams are definitely going to get some training out of this; were pushing them to their limits and past their limits so they can see their shortfalls, and its just a fun event you know, a great time for anyone to come out and watch. Normally as K9 were a side show for anything that happens, we come out, we do a few demos - but today K9 is on the front lines, and we ually are the show.
