Disney has high hopes for its adaptation of “A Wrinkle in Time”. The studio poured in more than $100 million into the movie. They brought on Oprah, Chris Pine, Mindy Kaling, and Reese Witherspoon. 'Black Panther' showed black excellence in a super hero film. Disney hoped 'A Wrinkle in Time' would show off multi-racial excellence. The film is based on Madeline L'Engles 1962 science fiction story about teen angst. Ava DuVernay transforms it into a vision of black female empowerment.
