The NCAA Made Over $1 Billion in 2017 This is the first time that college sports' governing organization has made over $1 billion in revenue in a calendar year. The information was revealed as part of the organization's financial statement, which also showed where it made money and its expenses. Much of the money was generated by TV rights deals will ESPN, Fox, CBS and Turner, accounting for over $800 million. In terms of expenses, the NCAA dished out $956 million with $560.3 million going to all the schools in Division I.
