Live Resin is some of the dopest dope you’ll ever smoke. According to creator Kind Bill, it’s called ‘live resin’ because the finished product smells exactly like the living product. So what is it? According to Bill, “Live resin is a fresh-frozen butane hash oil extraction.” About his process, he says, “We harvest the plants very quickly, clean them up extremely fast, and get them frozen immediately.” Freezing the plants fresh keeps all the flavor in, so live resin is similar to shatter, but packed with all that cannabis plant flavor. “The whole impetus behind it is to catch the essence of the plant,” says Bill, “The whole thing…everything…it’s much more complex.” Growing his first plant when he was only 15, Bill’s come a long way through the old days of hash making.
