Tourists hit by blizzard conditions as they cross River Thames

Tourists and Londoners braved blizzard conditions crossing the Millennium Bridge earlier this afternoon (February 28).

The bridge connects both St Paul's Cathedral and the Tate Modern gallery and sees a lot of tourists all year round.

The storm today was part of the so-called "Beast from the East", a polar vortex which has brought exceptionally strong winds and snow across much of the UK.
