Lionesses feast on cow in western Indian industrial area

A pride of four lionesses strayed into an industrial area in western India terrifying workers and hunting down a cow.

Mobile footage of a CCTV video shows four lionesses feasting on the cow right behind an industrial shed in Junagadh on February 26.

The terrified workers, who witnessed the hunt, called forest officials who came and managed to send the pride back to a forest nearby.

Junagadh is located in the vicinity of Gir sanctuary, the only home of Asiatic lions in the world.

The Sonrakh river, which separates the industrial area from the forest, is affected by drought and the pride somehow managed to cross the river and entered the industrial area in search of prey.
