In order to share ideas about what they would like to be armed with instead of guns, teachers across the country have joined forces under the hashtag #ArmMeWith. BuzzFeed News reported the social media campaign was born in response to President Donald Trump's suggestion to arm "adept teachers" with concealed guns. This in the wake of the recent mass shooting in Parkland, Florida. The movement's creators are educators Brittany Wheaton and Olivia Bertels.
