Situation around Maryamin in the Afrin region during the Turkish Operation Olive Branch 21 February 2018 as Syrian Arab Army enter.
Syrian Arab Army not committed to a particualr objective other than protecting their interests there. Turkish governemnt states that forces defending the YPG will be considered the enemy. Expected that the Turkish forces will advance on Afron from the Baflore direction (southwest).
Looks like most areas under YPG control are handing over power to Syrian Governemnt with Tell Rifaat being handed over and pro-government rallys in Afrin.
Both Turkish and Syrian forces have air power, but no indication whether either side will aim for air superiority.
