Mount Sinabung erupted on Monday, February 19, and shot massive columns of steam and ash into the skies over North Sumatra, Indonesia.Mount Sinabung erupted around 8:53 am with the top ash cloud peaking about 24,000 feet, according to an advisory released by Indonesia’s Center of Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation.A spokesperson for the country’s national disaster agency said there were no reported deaths as a result of the eruption.
