Governor Cuomo Debuts Newest Addition to State Administration: His Puppy, Captain

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo introduced the newest member of his administration during a press conference at the State Executive Mansion in Albany, New York on Monday, February 12.Cuomo debuted Captain, his family’s new 14-month old puppy, to a crowd of New York mayors and local officials who had gathered at the mansion, local media report.Cuomo said in a clip shared to his social media channels that it was his daughters’ idea to get a dog.“They had to have a puppy; they had to have a puppy. They are nowhere to be found now,” he said.Cuomo also said he wanted to name the puppy “Excelsior,” after New York State’s motto, but went with the name his daughters picked out instead.
