American snowboarder Chloe Kim secured a gold for Team USA in the 2018 Winter Olympics. She dominated women's halfpipe snowboarding final on 13 February in Pyeongchang, South Korea, earning a score of 93.75 and securing gold with her first run itself. Born in California to Korean immigrants, the 17-year-old started snowboarding at age 4.
