People are Switching Their Tinder Locations to Match With Olympic Athletes According to data provided by Tinder, there has been a 1,850 percent increase in people using Tinder Passport to swipe in Pyeongchang and the Olympic Villages. Tinder Passport allows users change their location to anywhere in the world in order to match with people from different countries. Part of the reason for the increase may be Tinder's decision to give everyone in the Olympic Village access to Tinder Gold, meaning they can swipe as much as they want. Between free Tinder Gold for athletes and users around the world using the passport feature, the Olympic Villages have seen a 348 percent increase in Tinder usage and a 644 percent increase in matches. The country with the most people "passporting"? The United States, followed by Sweden and the UK. Time to get swiping!
