In 2014, Amanda Thomashow was hopeful as she left a meeting with Michigan State University officials about Larry Nassar. She shared with them how the doctor had touched her in ways that made her feel uncomfortable during an exam. Thomashow was the first woman to file an official Title IX complaint against Nassar. Ultimately, MSU sided with Nassar, concluding that his methods were medically appropriate.
