Strawman argument: 'If you don't support how Joe Jackson raised his kids you support having bad kids, letting them do whatever.' If the argument is between beating and neglect (which does NOT build positive character) or neglect, i'd argue that he did BOTH- You can physically be in a child's life and not be present simultaneously. Torturing his offspring clearly brought him satisfaction; this is narcissistic parenting, and far too many people support this, based on some capitalistic ideal of acquiring wealth/fame, at the risk of emotionally stunting the children. Is gaslighting your children really worth it?
