I saw this glute circuit
30 reps each of:
▫️Heel elevated goblet squat pulse
▫️Banded feet elevated db glute bride
▫️Frog reverse hypers
▫️Banded hip hinge abduction
-
The pulses make the goblet squats more glute-focused than they'd otherwise be (vs quad) but I was still getting a brutal quad burn, so I added a band.
-
If I do circuits like this, I put them at the end of my lower body workout after heavier lifts (squats, deadlift variations, hip thrusts, lunges, etc), not as a workout on their own. I really enjoy adding these but not as a substitute for lifting heavier weights.
It can also work on a separate day (eg after training upper body) as a way to increase your volume but not interfere much with your recovery, as you're utilizing higher reps with lower weight.
-
Reverse hypers (esp the "frog" version) are one of those exercises that target ze glutes super well (for me) but I feel really awkward doing at the regular gym. The logical choice then was condo gym...and then posting them on the internet for far more people than would ever see me in the gym #becauselogic .

'Scuse the dramatic hair flip but it makes me laugh and I had just washed my hair...and apparently that's an event.
