Peace Meet

More than a dozen of NGO’s from the city gathered at the Patrakar Hall of SNDT University, to condemn the recent blasts and also to form a new group ‘Citizens For Peace’. Under the banner of the new group the NGO’s decided to have poetry recitation, music and readings, all on peace. The speakers and readers varied from different walks of life. Celebrities and social workers like Shabana Azmi, Javed Akhtar, Nadita Das, Amin Sayani, Anita Deshmukh, Atul Tiwari and Seema Sehgal recited poetries and read pieces on peace.
