The 'apology' video made by Logan Paul was a perfect example of the increasing prevalence of narcissistic and sociopathic behavior in the public sphere. The lack of respect this dude displayed not only in the Aokigahara forest, but in Japan as a whole, is symbolic of this as well. There was no remorse in his eyes, his face, his body... People mention the impressionable young people who are attracted to his content- to me, this is the exact reason why content like this is targeted to them. They are still sponges. Content creators/predators like Sam Pepper and Logan Paul take advantage of their status among young people. There is a young fan (who looked all of 11 or 12), talking about how he wished he was in the position of the person being exploited in the video, just so people could see he was in a Logan Paul video.... And that given the chance to be in one of these videos, he would consider doing it. Sigh.
