So often, recipes call for ingredients to be at room temperature—but who has time to wait for eggs fresh out of the fridge to warm up? According to LifeHacker, all you have to do to solve this problem in a jiffy is to harness the conductive powers of water. Since water is denser than air, warm water transfers temperature more quickly than warm air. So just put your eggs in a bowl of warm water for a few minutes—or break the eggs into a bowl and set that in a larger bowl of warm water.
