The Prime Minister has said that she would only delay Brexit in "exceptional circumstances" and for the "shortest possible time". Theresa May MP, speaking at the last PMQs of 2017, answered questions from two Conservative colleagues who sought her assurance that Amendment 400 of the European Union (Withdrawal) Bill would only be invoked under exceptional circumstances.
