A band that can fit in just as easily at a biker rally, a corporate hot rod and beer festival , a honky tonk roadhouse , or a bluegrass disco . ‘Swampy Tonk’ in no uncertain terms translates to this - you make up your own rules along the way. The Red Hot Poker Dots were founded in 1996 in Melbourne , Australia by Ray Anonymous and O’Dette Montana .
All members of the Red Hot Poker Dots are full time musicians and hold varying degrees of expertise in Rocket Surgery . The band agree that longevity in any trade is not inherent in everyone .“ It’s really quite simple ” they state , “ When you stand on stage you must look to the future and not at your shoes ”.
Ken and Meg were based in USA since 2007 and have just recently returned to Australia residing in Nundle, a town just out of Tamworth. With strong commitments to the music industry in Australia , USA and most recently Europe , the band continue to deliver , develop , and deny the odds .
