Three Women Accuse Russell Simmons of Rape All of Simmons's accusers are women who worked with him professionally. Drew Dixon worked as an executive at his record label before he allegedly raped her. According to Dixon, she was forced to sit on Simmons's lap during meetings and claimed he regularly exposed himself to her. Journalist Toni Sallie claimed Simmons raped her in his apartment in 1988. While she was managed by Simmons in the early 90s, singer Tina Baker said Simmons pinned her to a bed and raped her. Simmons has stepped down from his position at Def Jam Records and claimed the “horrific accusations have shocked me to my core and all of my relations have been consensual.”
