Russian President Vladimir Putin is refusing to bury former Soviet leader Vladimir Lenin’s body.

Lenin led the Bolshevik Revolution and the Communist revolutionary’s corpse is still on display in a tomb in the Red Square. People have been debating what to do with it since the fall of the Soviet Union.

The recent 100-year anniversary of the October Revolution has revived the issue of whether or not to bury the Communist leader. Putin has suggested that a burial would imply that Russians once followed false values. However, most Russians want Lenin 6 feet under and for their country to move on.
