Arizona Senator John McCain has blasted Hillary Clinton's post-election loss book tour as pointless and misguided. McCain lost the 2008 presidential election to Barack Obama. However, he did not follow the loss up with a book. McCain suggested that after Clinton's loss, the former Secretary of State "doesn’t have anything to do." McCain, who knows firsthand what it's like to lose a presidential election, told Esquire magazine that "one of the almost irresistible impulses you have when you lose is to somehow justify why you lost and how you were mistreated." McCain said "The hardest thing to do is to just shut up."
