Everest Region Trek, Roof of the world, Heart of Khumbu valley
Mt. Everest, also known as Sagarmatha has become of the Nepal's premier trekking destination. Situated in the mid-eastern region of Nepal, The Sagarmatha National Park was declared a World Heritage Site in 1979. In the Centre, is the fascinating Gokyo Valley which contains series of crystal clear glacial lakes beneath the bulk of Mt. Cho-Oyu 8201m, the magnificent views of Gokyo Ri 5483m and Ngozumba Glacier, and the crossing of well-known Cho La Pass 5420m. To the West, is the less frequently visited Bhote Khosi Valley that leads to crossing of the famous Renjo La 5435m to Thame.
