Man swallows wife's medal after argument

Footage has emerged of a medal stuck in a man's oesophagus after he swallowed it following an argument with his wife.

In the video, captured in Xi'an City in Shaanxi Province, China on October 29, doctors locate the medal in the man's oesophagus with a gastroscope.

According to local news, the man and his wife, who are both athletes, argued which led the husband to smash trophies and swallow a medal.

The medal was successfully removed from the man's body.
