At least six people have died and many others injured after a box car driver mowed down pedestrians in lower Manhattan. Initial reports state that the driver opened fire as he was hitting pedestrians. The box truck then collided with a Home Depot rental truck and the box truck driver got out with what appeared to be a firearm. NYPD officers shot the suspect and now have him in custody.
