President Trump is in the process of renovating the White House. Trump has spent $1.75 million so far on furniture and other decor. NBC reports that he's spent $17,000 for custom rugs, $7,000 for "furniture pedestals" and $5,000 for wallpaper. There’s also $12,800 for a custom conference table from a company that made one for Richard M. Nixon in 1969. The $1.75 million figure is slightly more than the $1.5 million that former President Barack Obama spent over a similar time period. It's not yet known if Trump is paying for the renovations himself.
