Just The Tip: Cutting Through The Taboo Of Opposing Circumcision

Meet the man risking physical attacks and arrest in order to speak out against circumcision in Tel Aviv.

The man claims no one should have the right to harm an infant's body, and that circumcision is a borderline illegal activity. The anonymous protester has been recently attacked while speaking out, often by religious passersby.

Opposing circumcision in Israel is taboo. The act is considered one of Judaism's most important traditions, and the vast majority of Israeli and Jewish infants are circumcised.

The use of circumcision is also common among American Christians but has created its own controversy, with some in the U.S. claiming it amounts to child abuse. That's the claim that continues to inspire this lone Israeli protester.
