Donald Trump Jr. tweeted her post from last October which features a childhood photo of herself and the message, “Happy birthday to this future president.”
In response, he wrote Thursday, “A year later the arrogance and entitlement in this tweet is exactly why it was never going to happen. #maga.”
Trump Jr. isn’t the only Clinton critic who sent out a reminder of her premature note. WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange also tweeted Clinton's post on Tuesday
However, numerous people have also spoken out to express sincere birthday wishes including husband former President Bill Clinton, daughter Chelsea Clinton, and civil rights icon John Lewis who, despite her election defeat, tweeted, “Happy Birthday, Madame President.”
Clinton is currently in the middle of promoting her new book about the 2016 presidential race titled 'What Happened.'
