Quebec passes law curbing full-face veils in public
  • 7 years ago
Quebec just approved a new "religious neutrality law" requiring Muslim women to uncover their faces in public. "It bans the wearing of face coverings for people giving or receiving a service from the state" the Associated Press wrote. The restrictions extend to teachers, doctors, and daycare workers. The law is specifically aimed at women who wear the niqab and the burqa. A niqab is a face covering while a burqa is worn head-to-toe.
