to use NVIDIA drivers on GNOME Wayland Session, you need to set NVIDIA DRM. in Ubuntu you can do that by setting 'modeset=1' on '/etc/modprobe.d/nvidia-graphics-drivers.conf' and regenerate initiram-fs by 'sudo update-initramfs -u'

after restarting you will get the Wayland option on GDM. however the Xorg stops working on me

im not really using Ubuntu so i didnt look much on the issue, but if you have Arch you can follow this wiki, that will work both for X and Wayland
